“Global Services Engineer - IPTV & Video Content Security” – Permanent position based in Singapore for video content security solutions provider for cable, satellite and Telco operators.

Job Function:
As a Global Services engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to travel frequently internationally to deploy our IPTV, DVB and Internet hardware and software to help us maintain our ranking as the fastest growing content security provider worldwide. Other tasks include remote installations, upgrades, providing training, assisting Sales and Pre-Sales with answering RFPs, RFQs and RFIs to help drive new business and develop custom solutions to meet market needs.

Responsibilities:
·         Installing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting the Company’s hardware and software products as highly available, redundant solutions into customer networks.
·         Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to customers and partners for the Company’s products.
·         Generate software licenses for delivery and installation in production and lab systems.
·         Coordinate with Engineering and QA teams to replicate, escalate and resolve more complex installation and support issues.
·         Provide product training to customers and partners, as needed.
·         Assist with interoperability testing between vendor products and services.
·         Assisting Sales team with conference calls, tradeshows and on-site visits.
·         Must be able to write clear documentation for Knowledge Base, technical solutions sent to customers, and incident reports for technical issues.
·         Frequent travel will be required. Passport and minimal visa restrictions required for international travel.
·         Be a part of a team that provides 24/7/365 global support with headquarters in San Diego, California, and regional offices in Boston, Atlanta, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, Paris, Munich, Nice, Singapore, and Beijing.

Required Skills & Experience:
·         Extensive experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting broadcast DVB, ATSC or ISDB-based video network equipment (multiplexers, modulators, scramblers, conditional access (CAS), over-the-air upgrades (OTA), smartcards and event spoolers), for networks such as cable, satellite, terrestrial and mobile.
·         Strong debugging, network tracing, log file analysis skills using tools like tcpdump, WireShark, VLC, Splunk, Ineoquest, Tektronix, TOAD, etc. for TCP/IP and RF networks.
·         Extensive IP and Telco networking architecture and configuration experience (TCP/IP, Multicast, Unicast, VLANs, VPNs, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.)
·         Extensive Linux, Solaris and Windows systems administration experience, with preference on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
·         Basic experience with SQL-based relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, with preference on Oracle Enterprise.
·         Strong and clear written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English to respond to customers in a timely and professional manner.
·         Maintain a professional, positive, “can-do” attitude, poise under intense pressure to perform, extreme reliability, available to be on-call as necessary; reachable by email, phone, IM, etc.
·         Must have at least 6 years of professional experience will be considered.
