Job Description: Reporting to Chief Technology Officer, you will support and lead Asia IT team for Business Applications (SAP) and Network Infrastructure System. Facilitate communication to other regions and global team within corporation. Responsibilities:

·         Need someone who is currently at a Director level with experience in leading a regional team.

“Senior Software Engineer - C++ & Web services” – 2 Permanent positions based in Singapore for the world's leading digital content company.

Position Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a part of multi-disciplinary Scrum team responsible for design and development of systems and applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Implementation:
·         Primarily responsible for developing high quality, stable code for use in products and solutions for customers.
·         Ensures new code conforms to established coding standards and meets the feature specification. Ensures that code can be seamlessly localized for other languages.
·         Documents new code and features developed, including changes to existing code stream. Validates that post-specification documentation (As Built) sufficiently explains the feature for Tech Pubs to Create the User Guide and for QA to finalize test cases. May also create pre-specification documentation.
·         Participates in peer code reviews to ensure proper documentation on features and interoperability within the entire system.
·         Troubleshoots code and debugs if necessary. Tests newly developed features to ensure proper functioning prior to release to QA. Participates in developing test plans, including regression tests, for newly developed software or feature.
·         Ensures new code, feature or software product meets performance goals and does not adversely impact the performance of existing subsystems. May use performance analysis tools to test subsystem before integration with larger system.

Functional Requirements:
·         Works with Product Management/Product Design to understand and help refine functional requirements for new products or upgrades. Collaborates on Product Requirement and Feature Specification documents and estimates the programming difficulty.

Software Architecture:
·         Writes high level software designs and specifications for feature implementation. Documents implications for other areas of the product.
·         Researches, analyzes existing legacy architecture and software code to understand the code at both the low-level and higher architectural level in order to make enhancements or resolve defects and performance issues.
·         Investigates and, if necessary, prototypes technologies and algorithms relating to the task.

Estimating & Scheduling:
·         Participates in scrum meetings including all functions to determine schedules, review technical problems, and assign tasks and resources.
·         May provide project leadership including: organizing overall projects, establishing timelines, breaking down and assigning tasks.

Code Maintenance:
·         Resolves existing feature defects logged by customers or QA. Documents all changes made.
·         May also create Feature Specifications for non-critical user functions or for internally identified maintenance and improvement projects.

Required education/experience/Critical Skills for Success:
·         Agile/Scrum experience in delivering production quality software releases.
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
·         8 years of strong C++ programming skills.
·         Good analytical and design skills at product level.
·         Experience with working on code enhancements within a large, complex software system.
·         Ability to multi-task between complex projects.
·         Proven track record of delivering commercial software titles.
·         BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. MS/PhD is a plus.
·         Need stable employment history & have worked for at least 3 years with each employer.

“QA Engineer” – Permanent position based in Singapore for the world's leading digital content company.

Position Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will be a part of multi-disciplinary Scrum team responsible for design and development of systems and applications.

Responsibilities:
·         Contribute to, and execute testing against, test strategy, test plans and test designs.
·         Analyze, debug and report software defects.
·         Collaborate, define tasks and provide direction with extended off-shore testing team.
·         Provide quality assurance evaluation and input through active participation in the design, development, and end user testing of the applications.
·         Conduct feature testing, regression testing, boundary testing, and performance testing.
·         Provide troubleshooting and support to developers, product teams, and technical support.
·         Estimate time requirements for assigned projects. 
·         Deliver assignments on time, adhering to pre-determined specification and quality standards.
·         Writes code to run automated tests and deliver results.
·         Conducts coverage analysis and monitors the code (underlying code being touched).
·         Designs and develops harnesses or test suites to run tests including QA Partner/Silk Test, API tests, VBA tests, C++ tests.
·         May use or adapt commercial off the shelf software test tools or develop custom applications.
·         Creates or uses vertical harnesses to handle multiple applications and analyze their interactions.
·         Sets up test bays including technical hardware, OS installs, test harnesses, localization, licensing, and specific peripherals.
·         May conduct API testing to ensure sound interface for third party developers.

Required Qualifications:
·         5+ years of work experience in software testing and quality assurance.
·         API testing with code testing experience in C++.
·         Experience working in an iterative, agile development process.
·         Experience with both black box and white box testing.
·         Testing experience with web domain technologies.
·         Working experience with test automation tools.
·         Working knowledge of programming languages for test automation.
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

“UNIX Server System Administrator – Linux & Solaris” – 12 Months contract position based in Singapore. Candidates based in Singapore need to apply.

Key responsibilities:
·         Install & setup the server operating system Sun Solaris and operating system utilities.
·         Monitor and analyse server utilisation, availability and traffic.
·         Add, change, delete or revoke Userid's that access operating systems and/or subsystems using access control software as per established security standards
·         Manage, via change control, the operating system configuration and validate integrity of system configuration files
·         Perform problem determination and resolution and report on outcome of troubleshooting
·         Perform and schedule daily operation tasks, e.g. Security log review.
·         Evaluate security advisories, assign a risk value and complete APAR in the time frame appropriate to the rating.  (incl. arranging downtime to apply fixes, perform backup, download fixes)
·         Periodically conduct  manual and automatic health checks and create & evaluate Health Check Reports
·         Provide analysis of system performance and capacity trends and make recommendations
·         Provide system administration and operational support for high availability clusters (e.g.,  HP Service Guard)
·         Provide administration and operational support for OS bundled software (e.g. sendmail, ssh, etc), external storage (e.g. ESS, FastT, etc) and SAN

Required Skills:
·         5+yrs of strong experience in Linux & Sun Solaris administration.
·         Proficient in Linux OS, Linux LSF skills and Sun Solaris.
·         Proficient in Veritas (Cluster Server, Netbackup, Volume Manager & Filesystem) and SunFire E25K.
·         Must have good and sufficient skills in handling Servers.
·         Ability to code simple scripts for automation purposes. E.g. scripting.
·         Ability to co-ordinate activities and is systematic.
·         Possess initiative and drive, and is willing to learn and adapt to the changing IT environment.
·         Strong communication skills.

“Regional IT Team Lead (Director Level)” - Permanent role based in Singapore for a top tier Investment Bank.

The role will require the individual to:
·         Work as a Regional Lead in APAC Payments & Cross Products IT operational support and IT services delivery to partner closely with APAC business stakeholders and IT CtB managers for all IT matters including areas of production support management, incident/problem management, application improvement and release control management, audit and health check, BCP and BCM management etc.
·         Work with Global Incident Process Manager & Tool set stream to review process and guidelines periodically, devise and rollout changes/new processes to achieve continuation of process excellence and improvement.
·         Manage the end to end global initiatives within the APAC region including requirement analysis, defining new on-boarding project scopes, developing the communication plan, team meetings, reporting, track the issues etc.
·         Work with Payments & Cross Products IT APAC Regional Head and WMIT APAC RtB Head to:
  • Coordinate stakeholders communication sessions, manage the major outage communications and drive major initiatives or new application initiative production readiness
  • Facilitate the APAC client meetings, performance reporting and quarterly IT services review
  • Provide transparency to the business by developing communications to Programme Stakeholders, Steering Committees, and Executive Committees
·         Build network with other IT stream management for successful delivery of the application support activities such as mainframe zOS support team, GTIS Unix team, MQ support team and upstream/downstream applications support teams.
·         Work closely with other Regional Leads as well as L1 Utility Group to ensure standard processes are followed and maintained globally.
·         Manage production readiness criteria for any new application on-boarding and major application release or new project implementation.
·         Participate in vendor management and Service Level reviews.
·         Develop and adhere to Service Level Agreements.
·         Build up a good technical knowledge across different platform environments such Mainframe, UNIX and DB2, Oracle, Sybase etc.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following requisites:
·         A relevant degree in IT
·         Minimum 7 years of experience managing a production support team within a large financial institution
·         Excellent leadership skills
·         Self-motivated, capable of driving results and able to work under pressure
·         Good experience supporting business users as well as senior stakeholders
·         Global management experience
·         Some experience in project management, service improvements and devising new processes
·         Demonstrated technical knowledge across different platforms such Mainframe, Unix, DB2, Oracle, Sybase etc

·         Knowledge/Certification in ITIL is desirable
