"Senior Technical Project Manager" -- Permanent position based in Singapore for the World's leading Telecommunications Company.

Role Purpose:
Provides a professional project management service, managing client projects on behalf of Company. Planning and executing clients projects in order to achieve the benefits expected by both client and the company, delivering change whilst managing risk, cost and quality.

Maximise the opportunity for current and future professional service fees and other revenues by demonstrating professionalism, skill and expertise that adds value to the client’s business and thereby encourages client reliance on the company.

Key Accountabilities:

·         Ensure the project is initiated, set-up, defined, executed and closed in a manner that ensures delivery to the time, cost and quality parameters agreed with the client, whilst conforming to company’s Project Management Framework (or other as agreed with the client).
·         Ensure the project is transitioned smoothly from delivery to ‘in life’ support and that the project closure process is followed (Lessons Learned, Associated Actions, End Project Review / Reports).
·         Prepare project documentation as required and secure the requisite approvals.
·         Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and kept up-to-date.
·         Identify and manage stakeholders, including those within the client organization.
·         Define and agree the project plan, associated work breakdown structure and deliverables.
·         Identify and manage the critical path.
·         Ensure that financial milestones are mapped to contract payment terms and visible within the baseline plan.
·         Define and agree external and internal resources required – set up the team.
·         Build, engage, maintain, direct and motivate the project team for the duration of the work.
·         Obtain support and advice as required for management, planning and control of the project.
·         Ensure the contract is agreed and changes are correctly managed.
·         Execute the plan, monitor progress against the plan and recommend corrective actions as required.
·         Identify issues and risks, develop appropriate responses, manage and escalate if required.
·         Provide timely and quality communication to all stakeholder, in line with the agreed stakeholder map.
·         Report, via Project Highlight Reports, on project performance, actual ‘v’ planned.
·         Ensure technical, test and quality plans are agreed and are included in the project plan.
·         Ensure necessary project administration is carried out.
·         Manage project budget. Ensure project is delivered to budget, tracking expenditure, forecasting cost-to-complete and managing potential overrun and corrective actions.
·         Ensure ‘business-as-usual’ processes are initiated on completion of financial milestones.
·         Manage production, integrity and quality of deliverables.
·         Monitor inter-dependencies between project activities.
·         Resolve internal and external conflicts of requirement, resource and priority.
·         Manage change control and any required configuration management.
·         Liaise with other management personnel, where the work is part of a wider change effort (e.g. where assigned to a programme).
·         Liaise with related projects (e.g. where assigned to a programme) to ensure work is not duplicated or overlooked.
·         Identify and progress cost reduction and earnings growth as required.
·         Identify to functional lead, management tools, techniques and knowledge developed during the work.
·         Accountable for the level of satisfaction that customer/s perceive of the Company services.

Key Skills & Experience:

·         A self-motivated project manager experienced with the full range of skills within the discipline of project management.
·         Resourceful, with the ability to build working relationships quickly and effectively.
·         A team member.
·         Experience leading a multi-disciplined team.
·         Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
·         Good organisational, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and Verbal.
·         Confident and able to liaise at all levels within the company and the client organization.
·         Proven experience (6 to 10 Years) in managing telecommunications or technology projects of complex in nature and sub-contractor management.
·         Good understanding of IP, Data, Voice & Video products and services.
·         Able to simplify complex solutions and present to senior management and business leaders.
·         Proven experience in a client-facing environment.
·         Able to structure and prioritize work packages around client and project requirements.
·         Demonstrates and understanding of typical telecommunications PROVIDE, ASSURE and BILLING processes.
·         Experience of operating in a functional organization.
·         Demonstrates advance competency across Core Skills, Business Skills and Behaviours 2, 3 and 3 years experience, respectively.

Qualifications & Certifications:
·         Degree level qualification in Telecommunication/Computer Engineering/IT or applicable industry experience for non engineering Business Degree holders.
·         Recognised qualification or certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP or PRINCE/2).
Technology certifications such as CCNA/CCNP.
