“Cognos Project Manager/Solution Architect” Permanent position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

·         Interact with key business users or subject matter experts and stakeholders for doing business analysis and preparing a requirement specification document for IT areas.

·         Prepare with various Project stakeholders, Project plans to include various stages in the application development life cycle.

·         Ensures development and implementation of required IT enhancement or application systems in accordance with planned business results, time frames and budgets.

·         Provides periodic reporting to various levels of management regarding individual, departmental, and projects status and progress, identifying issues or potential problems in the projects.

·         Assist or conduct training in IT applications.

·         Communicate effectively to business and technology constituents regarding Global IT tools and standards.

·         Works closely with other IT team members on a continuing basis regarding Application support and projects/products, as well as works on business issues related to their short-term operations.

·         Manages and coordinates with IT off shore or outsourced vendors on application development or support.

Job Requirements

Looking for an independent and dynamic person with the following profile:

·         Degree in Computer or other related studies with at least 6 years working experience

·         Experience of implementing and supporting Cognos 8.3/4 for last 3-5 years.

·         Knowledge in Cognos Controller and/or JDE will be a BIG plus

·         Should have a knowledge of Microsoft applications viz Access, visio and SQL

·         Should be familiar with Project management life cycle within IT applications.

·         Should be a super user of MS Project and an advanced user of MS Excel.

·         Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

·         Highly energetic and motivated person, proactive with business and strong on communications and interpersonal skills.
