“Network Operations Manager” Permanent position based in Singapore for the industry leader in providing wireless communication services.

Job Function:

Performs network engineering planning assignments relating to implementation, operation and maintenance of new or existing network hardware or software products/systems. Designs and tests features for network compatibility. Integrates need assessments, estimates cost, plans projects, and plans implementation, operation, and maintenance of product deployment for upgrade of networks.

Manages multiple network operations teams. Ensures performance metrics are achieved, increasing productivity, reducing unit costs, managing budget and performance of team.  Communicates with clients on operational issues, handles escalations, and notifies Client Services of high severity and chronic network issues. Performs complex problem solving during critical outages. Manages personnel development, coaching, and conflict for team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

·         Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering or related discipline

·         At least 7 years work experience in an IT or telecommunications industry with an excellent understanding of WAN, LAN & Voice technologies and network operations

·         At least 3 years work experience in managing a team of professionals

·         Good people management skills

·         Experience in managing and developing client relationships and internal cross functional working relationships

·         Knowledge of routers, managing WAN networks, Enterprise Networking, Connectivity services models

·         Good knowledge of TCP/IP, ATM, Frame-Relay, MPLS, SNA, Cisco Routers & Multiplexers, Remote Access

·         Good knowledge of integrated network management

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Good negotiation, organization and decision-making skills

·         Good leadership and interpersonal skills

·         Experience in Managing PTT and equipment maintenance vendors in Asia Pacific
